A Few Updates

*Yawn*

What time is it?

Almost nine? Well...that's the dinner time for the humans who live with me. Which means I have a window of fifteen minutes, before my mini-owner shows up and finds me perched on her laptop.

And that's the face I usually make when I get caught. She thinks I just want to sleep and clears the space. How adorable! I guess it is true: cats don't have owners, they have staff!

Anyway. I hadn't blogged for awhile, and I thought I should write something. (And to see if the Kolkata Bloggers have indeed added my blog to their blog roll).

In the home news front, Mummy came home! (Yaaayyy!!! Now I don't have to worry about starving to death. And I can stay home to sleep without having to bother about the other kittens.)

Chhotie (mini owner's beloved black cat) has returned home after almost six days of being without a trace. I wish I could say I joined in the celebrations...but oh, well. I guess being the single child for a long time can turn your head at times. (I still loved the first year in the Brahma family the best though: I was the only cat around!)

And then this one had to come home too, bringing her kids with her. Ugh. I sometimes wonder why mini-owner, who claimed to never bring another cat home, after me, caved and let the others in.

I really don't like having to share attention. I like having all her attention on me. See?

Now the hooligans are in the room. Running around like crazy kids who have too much of pent up energy. Sometimes I pause and wonder if they'd even survive the game if I decided to play with them. *sigh* The only person I want to play with is, Zorro.

I remember saying I'd tell you all about her in another post. Well, now is as good as a time as any other. Zorro is this beautiful female cat who lives with our neighbors. She comes around to my house for her meals these days. I am not complaining...but I wish she'd not sit and block my way like some kind of a lioness.

Yeah, yeah...I know you can barely see her in this picture. But I've been promised better pictures of her soon. Anyway - this is typically what happens. She just sits prettily at the gateway to MY EXIT in front of MY HOUSE....and doesn't budge until one of the humans take pity on me and shoos her away.

Hmm. I guess love is having your way blocked by a cat pretending to be a lioness then, eh?

Anyway. I should go rest now. I can hear the humans' footsteps coming towards this room.

Until next time,

Places I Like To Sleep

Ever heard of cat beds? Aren't they really stupid?

I mean - why would ANY cat in their right minds want to sleep on the bed, when they have see paw-some places to tuck themselves in?

1) The Suitcase

2) The Window

3) The Suitcase Near the Window

4) Bookshelf

5) A Pair of Chairs

And sometimes, just sometimes - I cuddle down on the bed!

About A Cat

They call me a lot of things, you know.

Lazy cat.
Ungrateful cat.
Selfish cat.
Cute cat.
Adorable cat.
Wicked cat.
Crazy cat.
But do you see the one word that is common among them all?

CAT.

P.C. - Boro Didi
Yes. I am a cat. I am mean to be selfish. I am meant to think of only myself, and not care about the rest of the world. I am meant to almost maul my owners if they don't listen to me. To swipe their feet with my paws if they don't get the door for me on time.

What you dumbos are yet to learn is, you should never judge a book by its cover!

I snarl and swipe at my owners when the hunger in my belly is too much to bear.

I did maul my owners. But that is because this crazy, hot female cat was roaming around the neighborhood and I wanted to go say 'hi'. They weren't too sure about letting me out of the house then...so I tried to make them understand. I just went a little overboard with it.

It is true that I despise the kittens. But did mini-owner ever tell you about the time when I had meowled at the top of my lungs to save the stupid kitten, Motu, who'd landed on the hot, tin roof and couldn't climb down. Nor could he meow - because his vocal chords are messed up. (No kidding about that!) Good thing Jeet Singh and Aniesha came down to rescue him.

Oh, and did you know about the time when Chhotie was NOT supposed to going out of the house but she did. And guess who snarled at her to bring her back home?

I like to be known as the big, bad cat who becomes a mouse only around Zorro. But I do nice things for people.

With my fish-soft toy

Before you turn up your nose at me and declare, "I don't like cats," please get to know me first. You live in a world where human beings turn on each other in the blink of an eye, every minute some heinous crime is committed...and sometimes cats do go to the rescue... (check out all those videos from the nanny cams if you don't believe me). And you have the nerve to say cats are god awful creatures?

Take a good look at yourself in the mirror, human. You're not better than me. Some days, you're far, far worse.

An Introductory Rant

Most of you know me as the furry four legged brother of Aniesha. Yeah, yeah - she's a writer who turned into a blogger and made all these amazing friends. *rolls eyes* (She had loads of amazing friends before too. I remember a bunch of them coming to my house one...and while some wanted to play with me, the others were scared of me. I wonder why! All I did was stay under the sofa and meow dolefully. I like my mini-owner. I don't like it when she doesn't pay attention to me.)

With the mini-owner,
P.C. Mummy
Some of her new found friends don't like cats. Well, hmpf to the ones who don't. Cats are super awesome. And if you don't realize that, you're missing out on something. (Also do remember you're coming to MY house. How would you like it if I came to your house and said I was allergic to you, and could you please move to another room, eh?)

Okay, okay. I am ranting.

My human mother is gone on vacation and I really miss her. Aniesha says writing is her therapy and it helps to keep her sane. (No kidding - have you guys notice how bat-shit crazy she can be when she puts her mind to it?) Anyway - so I decided to take a leaf out of my mini-owner's book: blogging. She says it used to be her safe haven before someone came along and knocked her off her feet by taking the whole quietly blogging in the corner thing away from her...she says a lot of things. And she thinks I don't pay attention to her.

That's not true. I pay a lot of attention to her. I get worried when she doesn't come back home early and I wait for her by our gates. Then I climb up the stairs with her to make sure she goes home. And she thinks I don't realize when she shakes the box of cat food under my nose, I run up to eat, being tricked every time be home. But she doesn't realize I LOVE CAT FOOD. I'd fall for that trick every minute of every day.

Me and the annoying Chhotie

Oh wow - look, I am ranting. I guess pets do take after their owners. And I really, really miss my human mom. Aniesha and Jeet Singh can just about manage. But they can't make me stay...I come home to eat and then wait, patiently downstairs for mummy to come home. Aniesh says she will by Wednesday. Then maybe I can come inside and sleep in peace. It's very annoying to have one ear open, in case I hear those kittens meowing or that idiot black cat the adopted in 2013, to come near me. They don't even go away even when I snarl at them.

I mean are they stupid? Sitting in front of a grown up cat and just staring into his eyes. The little snots don't even know what life would be like in the real world. I keep hearing Aniesha say she'll never let them out of the house. Good for them. They'd  not live to see the next day, we she set them free.

The Stupid Kittens - Just look at them sleeping on my Didi's bed.  HMPF!
Well, anyway. I better go now. Before she comes in to find me dancing all over her keyboard. I don't want her realizing I spend so much of time thinking. And next time, I'll tell you guys about Zorro.
