About Us

Pippo

I was found on the doorstep of the Brahma residence on 1st July 2012. Mini-Owner aka Aniesha took me in and three days later my adoptive home became my forever home. I am an outdoor cat, however. Because I come into the house and go back out as and when I believe. I may have been a full grown cat, but my voice very much remains that of kitten Pippo. I remain to be the most important cat in this family. Why else would all the other cats get locked up when I come home? Of course every time I see so much as the tip of their tail, I turn around, swish my own, fluffy tail and head outside - ignoring all the pleas from the owners to come back home. But I don't see how that is relevant here.

Chhotie

I was the second cat that was adopted by the Brahma Family. It was Aniesha's mother who took me in after my actual owners threw me out of the house for having a shiny coat of black far. They thought that I would bring bad luck. Then when I was homeless some cruel people had thrown stones at me, hurt my hind paw and I was limping about. The Brahma Family became my forever home after that unhappy incident, much to Pippo's chagrin. My new owners realized a little too late that I was about have kittens of my own. They were surprised to know kittens can get pregnant as early as three months old. I guess Pippo and I caused them to really up their game and read up as much as they could by reading all they could about cats. Like Pippo, I am also an outdoorsy cat. Though I love staying at home.

Rambo (Motu) & Garfield (Potki)

We are Chhotie's two sons born on 18th May 2014. There used to be three of us. But Sid left us on 21st December 2014, even before we could complete 1 year in human years. This particular picture was taken on Christmas Eve last year when the both of us decided to cuddle down at the foot of Mini Owner's bed, heartbroken and united in our grief for losing Sid. We got over it after sometime - but Sid's always on our minds. We are cute, adorable and extremely entertaining young kittens on the journey towards being a cat.

Jerry

I was named after the mouse in Tom & Jerry. Although they keep calling me "Puchku" most of the time. I forced my way into the Brahma Family after they made arrangements for me to stay in the staircase of their house. I mean, hmpf. A house is more secure than having a box in the corner. Of course, the box had belonged to some other kitty - but I chased her away. I even managed to make the dog lover, the elder sister of the house, into a cat person. I heard she's contemplating adopting a cat as well as a dog now. *Paw Five* I am extremely intelligent, I love cat food and I have a gift of climbing up to the tallest cupboards and almirahs, and whining so that someone will come and rescue me, when I cannot figure out how to get down.

And together, we are The Cats of Brahma Family.

(Yes, initially only Pippo liked dancing around on the keyboard, hence the email id and the posted by name. We forced him to share his space with us. Because to start a completely new blog would have been too much of a hassle!)
